Our Vision
A unified business voice directly contributes to the economic growth of the Outer Hebrides and it's members working in partnership with key economic agencies and the wider community.
The Chamber should be seen by all agencies as the voice of business in the Outer Hebrides. We believe we are uniquely placed to lead the drive to promote the Outer Hebrides as "open for business".
Our goal is to build a Chamber that members want, evolving with their participation. Our membership encompasses every business sector and includes businesses both large and small from big players to sole traders. We campaign and lobby on key issues affecting both businesses and the islands as a whole and see ourselves as being a voice for the whole of the Outer Hebrides. Issues such as the state of our schools, transport infrastructure, the health of our towns and villages, good quality housing - all affect the desirability of an area and our key to business success. Our role is to ensure issues such as these are kept at the forefront of policy makers minds so that the islands can be truly promoted as open for business.
The Chamber offiers it's members many key benefits through the British Chambers of Commerce Networks, details of which can be found on this website which is continually updated with news, events and business information. Businesses are also encouraged to use this site to keep up to date. With Members' Forum businesses are able to exchange business information and ideas and network. Our site also communicates Chamber strategy and keeps members up to date on Chamber activity.
